INTRODUCTION

Although we have only known each other for about 5 months, we are close as if we have been friends since forever. We do not meet up as much because of SOP and MCO that we have to adhere to but we still can chat with each other in our WhatsApp group or sometimes set up a Google Meet just to eat together and for the sake of not feeling so lonely. Many of us have grown fond of each other because of how nice and welcoming everyone is. Albeit the SOP and MCO, we still had the chance to have fun by ourselves since the campus is not able to organize events for students as they used to years earlier. These stories of ours, although there are only a small number of them, we let it linger in our minds and cherish it forever. It was the end of a decade but the start of an age.

CLASS MEETING : BISMILAH

We still remember and it is still fresh in the back of our heads during our first class meeting. It is a mess but it is a mess that we wanted. Everyone was excited to meet each other because it’s on our second day when we were on campus. The main reason why we decided to do a class meeting at first was because we wanted to assign groups to everyone for group assignments. Therefore, it was much easier for everyone to plan ahead for easier accomplishments of all assignments. It was fun to meet everyone but it was incomplete without Eliya because she was in Sarawak.

It was fun to spend time with everyone, meet each other in real life after only seeing each other virtually for the past 3 weeks. We still remember how everyone was giving us intense glares because we were so loud. Well, you cannot blame us for it as we were too excited to meet each other. After the meeting, we all had lunch together and talked over many, many stories of each. We spent our time together like we were never going to hang out again. This was due to the fact that we all didn't want to go back to our rooms. We just wanted to hang out and talk until the end of time because being together with each other has really meant a lot to each and every single one of us. A moment not being together felt like it was all going to go to waste.

WARONG : THE WITNESS OF THE BEGINNING

Have you ever wondered how much a cafe would leave such a big impact on ourselves? Yeah exactly, that’s how we feel about Warong. Located beside PTAR UiTM Puncak Alam, it has become a must to stop by after a long day of classes, be it for a sip of coffee or a plate of scrumptious pasta carbonara. Reminiscing through the long days we had, no matter how tiring that day was, our class would always find time to hang out together at this cafe. We would sit around one table and tell each other how our day was, we would laugh at each other’s jokes, and suddenly all the sorrow had gone away with just a blink of an eye. If given the chance, we would certainly love to visit Warong again and relive the great moments the cafe has witnessed during the time we spent there. We love you, Warong!

VOLLEYBALL:

THE TURN ON SWITCH

.    During the first few weeks of living in UiTM Puncak Alam, we went to play volleyball together. There wasn’t any volleyball court yet but we played at the netball court where many other students played as well. We don't know what was so special about it but since that day we became closer. We were all close to each other before, but there was something about that day that changed everything. We laughed, screamed and it was so much fun. That day was also the beginning of "T11 adoption babies" because we met a lot of new people and made friends with them. They started to hang out with us. It was a great experience because up until now, we are still friends with the people we played with. We took a lot of pictures of the sky as the sun set and said our goodbyes to the other students who let us play with them.

DAHLIA: RESERVED FOR T11

While we were in Puncak Alam, we often hung out together. Almost every mealtime, we would come down to Dahlia to eat simultaneously. Yes, Dahlia. The place that witnessed a lot of things. We believe it's not only for us but for everyone. Dahlia has a special place in our hearts.  We would pick the food and talk about the stalls there. "Kaw Kaw Bossku" "Jebat". These two were our favorite stalls. We still remember that we played Among Us at Dahlia. It was extremely fun and everyone was having a very good time. But what's a hang out without gossip, right? We chatted a lot with each other, and we all sat at the same table. It became our special spot. No one sat there because thanks to Naim, he made a sign that said "reserved for T11". Whatever it is, we all missed Dahlia so badly. The "akak abang" there was so nice and if given a chance to go back there, for sure we will go.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU"

August 28th

We were all surprised to be added into an anonymous group chat, with no context whatsoever. Everyone shrugged it off but it surely remained as a mystery until later that day, Ecah told us that we were going to plan a surprise birthday party for our beloved class representative, Rizwan Naim.  With the help and cooperation of all T11 students, the birthday party was held at Richiamo Cafe, UiTM Puncak Alam. The surprise was a huge success since tears were shed by Naim due to being moved by such simple action. We had a lot of fun making Tiktok dance videos, eating the birthday cake alongside some pizza. It was a great night indeed. After taking some class pictures, we headed back and all that was left from the event was memories that were bound to be remembered until the last days of our lives. The same goes for Nurin's birthday party. The clown of the class. We celebrated her birthday party at Dahlia and the whole Dahlia sang Happy Birthday to her. It was so much fun. Different from Naim's birthday, this time we got free food! Thank you mama Nurin!
After taking some class pictures, we headed back and all that was left from the event was memories that will burn in our minds forever.

ZUMBA: T11 HIDDEN TALENT

Well, this story has a twisted plot and indeed it was unplanned. One fine day, we decided to have a morning walk around the campus and visit new places that we have not seen before as we had to move to Dengkil in a short time. As we laughed and talked to each other, there was a bicycle event held at Dewan Berlian. We watched from afar then suddenly a kind and a generous lady came up to us and invited us to join the event. We hesitated at first but she was super welcoming so we accepted the gesture. Surprisingly, she was one of the members of head departments of UiTM. We enjoyed our time doing Zumba and it was funny because some of us showed “true potential” in dancing. (yes talking about you Husna! hehe) Overall, it was tiring but fun. To more unexpected memories in the future.

ANGSANA: THE NIGHT LIBRARY

The midterm examination was just around the corner. Everyone was nervous but focused at the same time. Some of us planned to study together as it was easier to communicate and discuss answers for our exercises. At this time, we were at UiTM Puncak Alam so Cafe Angsana was our main place to study. It was indeed fun and joyful to be around people that actually study. It was an open area and we could fit a number of people, that made it conducive. We had discussions until late night but ensured everyone's safety to go back to their rooms. Looking back, after months this memory still sticks to mind as friends whom we call family could be reliable and good study companions. Indeed this was a memorable for us.

FROM ANGSANA TO DAHLIA: THE MYSTERIOUS GUY

BYE PALAM : NIGHT BUS THAT WITNESSED THE SADNESS

Before we moved to Dengkil, we decided to go to PTAR for the last time. Not everyone was there though. But we had so much fun. At first, we thought that the plan was canceled because it was raining that day but because most of us will go back home that day, we decided to go even though it was raining. We waited for the bus for 15 minutes and to be honest while waiting, we were actually unsure if the bus will come or not. When we saw the bus, we all screamed because we were so excited. We were having a blast in front of the library. We entertained ourselves by playing truth or dare. Everyone was absolutely loud and cheerful. On top of that, Iman decided to sing. No word can describe how meaningful that night was. It was so much fun. That night was so perfect. With rain and only us there. We were there for almost 2 hours and ended that night with a Kpop dance. Again, we can clearly see how talented T11 in dancing (We are talking about Husna specifically). We had so much fun in the bus. The night bus witnessed everything. On our way back, we know that this will be our last bus ride in Puncak Alam. We wished that the bus keeps moving and never stop because leaving Puncak Alam was not an easy thing to be done.

DENGKIL: THE NEW CHAPTER

It was the end of a decade but the start of an age. We still remember when we first received notification from UiTM official telegram channel that we are moving out from Puncak Alam to Dengkil, we all were at Angsana. When we first read the statement we didn’t know how to feel. Happy, sad, confused all at the same time. But to be honest we can say that for sure we are sad to leave Puncak Alam. We know that Dengkil is supposedly our main campus but there is something special about Puncak Alam. Probably that’s our first campus. It’s like our first love but whatever it was, we had to accept the fact we are moving out to Dengkil.

Not going to lie. Our first week here in Dengkil was bad. The food at Anjung was bad and we didn’t know where should we hang out together because the only place we can hang out together is at Padang Etika. The fact that most of us did not come back to campus because most of us are at home for the MUET test made it worse. It felt incomplete when everyone was not around. However, it was getting better when everyone was back at campus. We finally have our own spot in Anjung and Padang Etika. After spending time for a few weeks here in Dengkil we realize that it’s not about the place, it’s not about the location but it’s about the people who you spend time with.

ANJUNG : YOU AINT DAHLIA GURL

Anjung is not as spacious as Cafe Dahlia at Puncak Alam but there are many long tables so it is easier for us all to gather and eat. We had many meals together and we even played some games there such as Truth or Dare. Since there aren’t that many places for us to get together in Dengkil, Anjung is the only place easy enough for us to meet each other, have group discussions, and so on. To be brutally honest, the food at Anjung Dengkil cannot beat the food at Cafe Dahlia but we always love the sweet corn upstairs. Well, both Anjung and Cafe Dahlia have their pros and cons. As long as we have our meals together, everything will taste good. We still remember how chaotic it was when everyone was in Anjung. We had so much fun and this time same as Dahlia, Anjung is reserved for T11.

MCO : HELL WAS THE JOURNEY BUT IT BOUGHT US HEAVEN

When the government of Malaysia announced Malaysia Movement Control Order (MCO), No word can describe how we felt. People who were at home had to cancel their plan to go back to Dengkil and people in Dengkil? Most of us left this place and stayed at home. That night, when we had to decide whether we were leaving or stay was a mess. Everyone asked each other whether they were going to stay or not. Plus the fake news that spread from Pusat Islam made it worst. They said that students probably cannot go out for 2 months and they suggested for everyone to go back home. Later that night, 3 hours before MCO started, they said that it was fake news but what can we do? Most of us were already on our way back home and there was no turning point. First day in Dengkil when MCO started? Hell. Anjung was empty, PTAR only opened their first floor, we cannot go out for sports in the evening and Bilik Kuliah was closed. No word can describe how unpleasant the feeling was at that moment. Only 12 of us in Dengkil. From 29 to 12. But after a week, we finally got used to the situation. Anjung was so silent? We were the one that made it happening and loud again. As long we are together, nothing can stop us. We will enjoy our time here and no one and nothing can stop us. For those who are at home, we miss you guys so much. For some of us, we haven’t met since Puncak Alam but it is okay. One day we will meet again and when the day comes, we will become powerful again. We will fight the dragon and move the mountain. No one can stop us and believe in me ( hi im naim ). We will be okay one day, don’t be sad! If you need anything just text in the group or me personally. We can do this okay? I said this so many times but again, I love you guys. All 29 of you, including myself. You make me love myself by loving you guys. Thank you for everything.

END GAME : THE CONCLUSION

After we finished this assignment, it made us realize how we will miss spending time together in the future. Almost every day we have our meal together at the cafeteria, we play sports together in the evening, going to class and do revision together, these events create such a nostalgic feeling for every one of us. Unfortunately, our first semester and our first experience as a college student have been affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is hard for us to do gatherings and hang out together and some of the classmates could not be with us due to this pandemic. Nevertheless, this pandemic does not affect our relationship, thus it makes us stronger and closer with each other, we care about every one's health and condition when one of us is traveling back home and this is solid proof that we have a strong bond as classmates. As a conclusion, it was such a great experience for us to be a T11 student and we look forward to spend more time together in the future. May we be successful as ASASI TESL students and may all our dreams come true!
